501c-3 non profit
In the spirit of giving back to a sport that has given so much to me, the idea popped into  my head to tie my current fund raising efforts to a non profit that will continue on past my retirement, tying education and sliding together as the focus of the non profit.

Ice Dreams 501 c3 non-profit

Strategy: To transfer my current sponsorship infrastructure to a non-profit organization benefiting the sliding sports, upon my retirement from the sliding sports, and to build a self sustaining financial support system around the non profit, to sustain as many athletes as possible for as long as possible.

Recipients: Athletes who are actively involved in any of the 3 sliding sports showing future Olympic potential, and who are engaged in academic pursuits. Must be defined by their federation as a junior or under 23 years old.

Support: Provided to athletes in the form of grants as well as donations to local clubs and sliding organizations. Grants will only go to sliders who choose to pursue academics concurrently with sliding.

Mission Statement- To reveal the joy of sliding to youth, by enabling as many athletes as possible to pursue the sliding sports in a manner that encourages excellence, not only in the sliding arena, but in the academic arena as well.

Fund raising Ideas-
1)    Yearly Dinner
2)    Yearly Auction
3)    Yearly Golf Tournament
4)    External Donors

Scholarships will be granted on an achievement level. There will be a minimum disbursement to every athlete who qualifies, given a base amount of resources, and if feasible will increase based on standards achieved both in the classroom and on the track by a set formula. Support to clubs will be focused on the necessities of learning how to slide at the development level. ( Ie cameras, equipment….)
